Another print from Los Caprichos by Goya. This is "Están calientes" ("they're hot"), a commentary of the gluttony and lust of the clergy, traits believed by Goya to go hand in hand. The Seattle Art Museum presents Graphic Masters: Dürer, Rembrandt, Hogarth, Goya, Picasso, R. Crumb from June 9–August 28, 2016. With over 400 prints and drawings on view, visitors will come face to face with memorable works like Dürer’s The Large Passion, Goya’s Caprichos, and the famous Vollard Suite by Picasso. Capping off the exhibition are 200 drawings by legendary graphic artist R. Crumb illustrating the Bible’s Book of Genesis.As a show of prints and drawings, Graphic Masters offers a unique opportunity to see the genius of these exceptional artists up close. From Rembrandt to R. Crumb, each artist shows how graphic expression shows off their creativity and innovation.

·         SAM Creates:  The Sleep of Reason Monsters: Owls, Bats, & Donkeys- Create your own world of beasts inspired by Goya’s Los Caprichos

·         Fantagraphics R. Crumb-Painted Cartoon Van: Limited edition poster release by Intruder Comics, featuring interpretations of Goya’s Los Caprichos by 10 artists.  First-come, first-served, and will be passed out from the van which will be parked right near the Hammering Man on 1st and University!

·         Sam Creates:  Join local artist Jim Woodring and his giant pen for a live drawing session.
