not so accurate but I really like how the gouache turned out so have this kinda self portrait that does not look like me much . . . #drawing #art #sketchbook #graphomaniac #paint #gouache #selfportrait https://www.instagram.com/p/B_ClN4zDIrB/?igshid=cydfcres0gck
I've enumerated my endless projects on ResearchGate, for no sane reason. There is a serious overlap! Let it be known that I have tons of written material. Far more than, let's say, a pitiful 1,000 pages. Not to mention purely literary projects, for I have them to; and then not to mention writings in Russian (these ones are mostly published, but I'd like to return to at least some of them one day with another round of revisions); and or course not to mention poetry, for who cares about poetry? I am ready to adopt a small but radically-multi-disciplinary institution and place it under my loving but strict supervision, pretty please (I'll be here waiting, y'all. Keep me in your mind and prayers.) #graphomaniac #alostchancetobeanalcoholic #maybenotlostyetwhoknows #letshopeforthebetter

Zampano was in essence—to use another big word—a graphomaniac. He scribbled until he died and while he came close a few times, he never finished anything, especially the work he would unabashedly describe as either his masterpiece or his precious darling. Even the day before he failed to appear in that dusty courtyard, he was dictating long discursive passages, amending previously written pages and restructuring an entire chapter. His mind never ceased branching out into new territories. The woman who saw him for the last time, remarked that "whatever it was he could never quite address in himself prevented him from ever settling. Death finally saw to that."
Mark Z. Danielewski, House of Leaves.
