Hetalia Christmas Event - 22/12
Snowball fight/Skiing/Christmas without snow
Every year most of the nations met up together to celebrate Christmas. This year it was Australia’s turn to host the party.
While most of the countries loved the idea of a white Christmas, they also looked forward to Australia’s warmer ones. The parties were always fun with the strange carols and fake snow. Everyone still remembered when he and New Zealand worked together to fill a hall with shredded paper. They had put the air-conditioning on as cold as it could go and started a ‘snowball’ fight. It didn’t work out very well, but it was fun.
This year Australia had them do grass skiing. He had also gotten some of their help to set up a waterslide on a small hill. He informed the other countries that many of his people did the same thing. They laid down a few tarps, squeezed some detergent on and stuck a hose at the top. All the countries that attended had a go.
A few of the micronations slid off the side. Russia gathered more speed than anticipated and kept sliding well after the tarp ended. Scotland eventually coaxed England to have a go. America and Canada went on together to see who was faster. Overall, it was a good day even though most of those from the Northern hemisphere became sunburnt.
They had Christmas dinner in the setting sun. Each country, either individually or as a family group, brought a unique dish to share. The result was about six trestle tables bowing under the weight of a cornucopia of food.
The night was filled with laughter, stories and kinship. Snow or not, that feeling between the nations at Christmas never changed.
