I've been wanting to draw some of my fav snakes for a while 🐍

I've recieved some (valid!) criticism on the lack of Polish names on my fish set, so I wanted to fix that here, but the problem of some species just not having Polish names remains 😅I've put them where it was possible though!

THE SNAKE

The snakes were seen as lowest of the low, creatures of the earth and the evil that was seeped into it. On the flipside they were also believed to be able to repel malice and possess healing capabilities. The snake symbolises primal strength and vitality.

Hi!

I was very fortunate to see two Ringelnattern (Natrix natrix) mating today (the bigger one was about 50cm long!). They've gotten pretty rare here in Germany due to habitat loss sadly.

Can we maybe get some natrix natrix pics to celebrate? :)
