I had the privilege of seeing one of these in an Arizona museum many years ago. “What hunts like a wolf, howls like a wolf, but isn’t a wolf?” the sign said.

I have been watching videos of mink and ferrets being used to hunt rabbits, rats, and mice. When the mouse battled a centipede, it used the same tactics that a mink does on a rat -- wild, dancing displays of agility that leave its prey snapping futilely at the empty air, before it comes in to score a deadly bite of its own.
