How far do you think I would have to tt in order for all my grass to grow back? Or all the grass possible...

Generally, a month long leap forward is enough to regrow all the worn grass (except for any permanent dirt patches). Just be careful to enact the Beautiful Town ordinance and make sure nobody is moving before you make the jump! The safest way to go forward is to wait until somebody is thinking of moving, turn them down, and then immediately save and time travel forward. The logic is that if you turn down a mover on that day, you can be absolutely sure that nobody else wants to move and you can time travel forward as far as you like without losing anyone.

how do i put paths in my town..? ive googled tutorials but none of em help me very much.. does it kill the grass beneath it? will the grass ever grow again?

Paths generally use custom design patterns which you can either make yourself or get from others. You can use the QR code machine (unlockable in the Able Sisters’ shop) to get designs from the Internet, or you can pick them up in dream towns if the owner has made them available.To put them down, you need to stand outside and go to your design window (the one next to the inventory with the little pencil icon). Tap the pattern you wish to use, and choose to ‘Display on Ground’. After that, it’s simply a matter of repeating the process until you have a complete path.Putting paths down does not prevent grasswear, but it does make it far less noticeable because it’s much more limited to your walking areas and then covered up by the patterns. The grass can grow back if you give it the opportunity — don’t walk on it, plant flowers and water them etc.

does the grass die on the island or main street?

Nope! Grass on the island and on Main Street is fixed and unaffected by grass deterioration and regrowth methods.

the animal crossing wiki says that paths dont help prevent grass deterioration :c but ive had a path down for a year and non of my grass is damaged...

Paths do not prevent grass damage in the sense that walking over an area will wear away at the grass whether there are pattern tiles covering it or not. However, paths are very useful because they limit the area of grasswear. If you have paths consisting of pattern tiles (ie. not natural paths) and don’t venture from them too much, you would likely not notice any grasswear in your town!Grass also grows back with rain/snow/time as well as not walking on it, so that could also be a contributing factor as to why your grass is looking nice!
