Took myself well out of my comfort zone this evening in my first cyclo-cross pre season #grassycrit at Maglia Rosa Bury St Edmonds. That was HARD work on the technical grassy course and half way round I was thinking "I'd rather run 4 ultra marathons back to back'. Little Lewis Waters (aged 8) my coach and mentor before on my warm up laps before the race told me to stop " whining" before I started 😂. . I was feeling quite nervous but I finished my 4 laps with my lungs on fire and loved it. . Everyone was really lovely and encouraging and so I think I'll be back next month.
