Day Thirteen – Gratitude and the broken heart. There are many ways that our hearts can be broken; the most common being from love, when a person you’ve come to care for cheats on you, or breaks up with you, but there are other ways by which one’s heart can be broken. The passing of a loved one, being constantly teased and belittled, suffering some sort of abuse, all of these are ways that our hearts and eventually our spirit can be broken. When the heart is broken finding the silver lining to focus on my seem very difficult, but not impossible. Have you ever noticed though, that the more you focus on something the more it consumes your mind? Or the more you focus on the bad or negative eg: a broken heart, the worse it becomes. It is even more true when emotions are involved. When the heart is broken it is a challenge to see of feel anything other than the heart ache. Gratitude as a transformative tool is very useful when lost in a broken heart. It will take a conscious effort to shift focus from the broken heart to the light and love still left in it. The positive energy gratitude produces constantly works to keep your focus shifted on the positive and in the process there is healing. Focusing on gratitude can change the state of your heart from a broken one to a grateful one. In every darkness there is a light, in every storm there is peace, in every bad there is good and in every sorrow there is joy. It may be difficult to see, but it is always there just waiting for you to see it, grab hold of it and to inevitably become it. Make gratitude a part of your daily life to see how positively transformative it can be. The energy of healing is a power of the grateful heart. #40daysofgratitude #40daysofgratitude2017 #gratitude #grateful #gratefulness #thankful #thanks #gratefulheart #gratitude #gratitudejournal #photographer #photography #photo #graphicdesigns #graphicdesign #graphicdesigner #graphics #gratefulnesshabit
