One more chapter. One more and this story's over.
So this author's note is just an explanation of Selene's powers.
I'm sure you guys are wondering "Electricity? What the hell?" There's actually a scientific explanation for it. So here it is...
You guys know how lightning is formed right?
Yes? Skip the next paragraph.
No? Clouds have bits of ice in 'em, if I'm not mistaken. Those ice bits have opposite charges and they form an electric field... You guys DO know what an electric field is right? Right.
Okay so Selene's ice, in essence, does practically the same thing. The ice spikes she shot out formed a sort of field around Gration.
Next. I wanted to add a bit more to this chapter but I was actually rushing it... I probably shouldn't have done that. Why did I? Well, I accidentally deleted the finished version of the story. In effect, I lost the last three chapters. Which means that Chapter 23 was ALSO rushed. I'm still re-writing Chapter 25. I haven't written in quite a while. I've been busy. I'm so so so sorry about this.
This story is probably going to end really badly. Not at all like the first version (actually second but, eh).
Which is why I'm most probably going to re-write the whole story after I publish the last chapter. DoN 3.0 is going to be longer. I'll expand more on Selene, Jason, and Reyna's lives pre-HOO. I'll also shore more of Selene's powers because there are a few more ice properties that I want to explore. I'm also going to (probably) add a bit more of the Earthshaker aspect. The last thing I'm going to change would be the location of Selene's fight with Gration. It's still going to be a mountain.
