so i’m a little late but I’ve just gotten into Gravity Falls! If you post Gravity Falls I’d love to see more of it on my dash Also!! I have so many AU ideas and no one to talk to them about! Here’s a few of my favorites from my brainstorming file:
Dipper is an only child. Until, one day, he isn't. (AKA: Mabel the changeling)
Permanent bodyswap (Mabel Dipper) with trans twins: unaccepting parents, and still dysphoria and difficulty (maybe situation where they actually try and pretend to be each other?). Just because I've never seen permanent bodyswap; it always ends up switching back, and I'm curious about the implications, esp. with trans kids
Stan and Stan are now twelve again, due to an unwise wish, and maybe Fiddleford is also, but he's halfway across the country and they don't realize, and it's about... ironically, it's about 'you can't go home again' – even though they are in the past, it is not the same. Also, a focus on the ways in which they've grown; Stanley is, obvs, extremely smart for a twelve year old and maybe does better than Ford (although still learning disabilities are a thing) and Ford has more recent practice at fighting.
And I’m in progress on writing a story where both Stan and Ford go through the portal!
