AU idea - A new kind of rift forms in the new Honmoon. It’s big and nasty and doesn’t seem to want to close up, so the girls team up with Celine to figure it out. Eventually they venture into the rift to the demon realm in search of answers. It ends up being one of those things requiring someone to stay behind on the demon realm side to make sure it stays closed, and Rumi decides it’s going to be her. She’s half demon, so she stands the best chance, despite the protesting from her family.
But they decide to do it, and everyone says their goodbyes. Mira and Zoey go through the portal, leaving Celine and Rumi a bit of privacy. They hug it out, both crying, and forgive each other. They talk about all that should have happened between them. Celine tells Rumi that she loves her, all of her, and always will. Rumi wishes it could have been different, but at least they have this moment. As the portal starts to shrink, they begin to wrap it up.
“I’m sorry,” Rumi utters.
Celine draws a deep breath. “Me too,” she replies.
Suddenly, before Rumi can process it, Celine is spinning them around and shoving Rumi away, toward the portal, with all her might. Rumi stumbles through the rift, and it closes behind her. Trapping Celine instead of her.
Rumi is already moving, but the rift closes before she can reach it, leaving her to scream and roar and claw away at the wall until all the concrete is shredded and her claws are broken and bleeding.
Mira and Zoey are both shocked to see Rumi come through the portal, but quickly piece it together based on Rumi’s reaction and the noticeable lack of Celine. They gently pull Rumi away from the wall, let her collapse to the ground, hold her as she cries. Neither had said a goodbye to Celine, because they hadn’t known she was going to stay in the demon realm. Regardless of their feelings, they all mourn Celine together.
Meanwhile, Gwi-Ma and a horde of demons are looming over Celine. Gwi-Ma smiles wide, gloating, “A noble move, foolish Hunter. But nobility will not serve you, here. You are alone. You don’t even have your swords.”
To which Celine just pulls out a sickle from behind her back. “Don’t need them,” she growls.
One of the demons looks to his buddy next to him. “Why do I hear boss music?” he asks with deep concern.
It’s not until a few months later that a new rift forms, and Rumi rushes to it, throwing herself through without a second thought. Mira and Zoey are right behind her, and they all brace for an epic battle through a horde of demons to find Celine.
But the demon realm is…different. Actually kind of…nice? There are plants and trees and water and even the air feels cleaner. They encounter a demon who smiles happily at them and greets them with a wave. “Oh! You’re here! Good, she’ll be so happy to see you! I’ll take you to her if you want.”
The girls share a confused look. “What do you mean?” Rumi asks, still wary this is a trap.
The demon just shrugs. “Well, to the Queen, of course!”
