I love shipping my bbys and I also love seeing inspo for them and I get a lot of it from other ships from fandoms I'm in that aren't Gravity Falls! So I put together a list of the top ships I take inspo from. <3

Possible spoilers for fandoms below obviously, just beware.

🌟 | Princess Monica x Dorian Wytte (Hooky!):

I've talked about this before and the fandom on here is so non-existent it's very sad. Like Hooky fans wya?? This is one of my favorite Webtoons I've personally read! Monica is like Winter, they both can be confident and cool and sassy but also be kind of a dork for things they like and are seen as loud and hyper to people who aren't fond of them. Dorian and Dipper are also very similar! They're both nerds at hearts with noses in books (and also have little to no friends /lh) but are very protective of who they care about. Despite Dorian and Monica being almost opposites, they end up bonding with each other and learning to love each other (over the pain and suffering of just wanting them together already especially in the second book) which is how make Winter and Dipper get along in a way! (Without them hating each other at first)

⚡ | Zelda x Link (TLoZ! Specifically BotW + TotK):

(Just to clarify, BotW means Breath of the Wild and TotK means Tears of the Kingdom for those who don't know.) Pre-Calamity Zelink is definitely inspo for Royalty AU Winter and Dipper! Since Link is literally a knight and Zelda is the Princess of Hyrule. So yeah I also love their dynamic of Zelda being a princess who just wants to learn new things and study (I think that's almost canon?) and Link just kinda being there and watching her do her think and be supportive of it (<- technically a headcanon) Which is how I imagine Dipper would be with Winter, except actually talking (throws shade at Link /j) with Winter and he would rant about cryptids or smth and Winter would be interested and writing it down. I imagine Link being Zelda's escape from being all royal just like Dipper would be Winter's escape from being all proper.

❤️‍🔥 | Charlie Brown x Heather/Little Red Haired Girl (Peanuts! Mostly from the 3D movie from 2015):

The only reason why I said specifically that movie was because the movie was mostly about that ship and Charlie Brown wanting to impress Heather but I'm probably going to end up quoting/mentioning something from older stuff too lmao. But yes a boy seeing himself as a failure who also had people telling him exactly that while it getting revealed that the girl he likes sees that he's trying his best and actually cares for his well-being (and the girl is also mildly popular, at least in the 2015 movie) THATS. DIPPER. AND. WINTER. Winter definitely would see the good and effort and determination Dipper has even when Dipper himself can't and becomes down on himself especially when other people tell him it's true.
