Funny thought I've had: we've never seen Gray's house so now I just imagine him hiding where he lives from everyone. But one day the guild realizes no one knows where he lives (maybe Juvia mentions losing him on his way home or something) and start a competition to find where he lives first. He's the only one from team Natsu that we haven't seen a house for. We've even seen Gildarts so why not Gray? Idk it amuses me to think about.
Okay- okay, but get this. Gray actually has, TWO houses. One’s more like an apartment where he puts all his clothes and things he owns and such- and the OTHER is his, “oh shit they’re onto me.” House, where he up and hides upon feeling the presence of someone following him- and to get to it, it takes having skills in ice magic. (Or other magic that can make stairs if need be- if you miss seeing him use it, though- too bad!)Long story short- Gray likes his privacy and he’s willing to do what it takes to keep it. Juvia is probably the closest one to ever get close to finding it while Gajeel, Natsu and Wendy are the only ones CAPABLE of finding it because of their noses.They just choose not for various reasons. Gajeel doesn’t care. Natsu doesn’t want to smell Gray unless he HAS to. Wendy is a sweetheart who would rather not invade his privacy. (Also Carla wouldn’t let her go search because it would look wrong for a small girl to be looking for a man’s house.) Upon finding out how much Gray likes his privacy, Lucy guilts him into giving her the actual address since he’s broken into her house a few times, right along with Erza and Natsu, and dammit, he OWES her the knowledge.
