Essentially, Ductile Iron Casting is an alloy of iron and carbon. Cast iron has more carbon than 2%, on average. Other significant elements, such as silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, and others, can be added to cast iron, significantly altering the alloy’s structure and characteristics, depending on the casting needs.
