Him deciding to sacrifice himself and all the men who can gather just so Maric has a chance to run seemed odd. Not a particularly 'commoner' thing to do. Especially not since Gareth is the de facto Leader of other refugees. I would have expected men like Gareth to take their surviving child and join the rebel army. Also Ty is a pretty badass name. i mean… not really? if they lose maric there are no theirins left and they cant really take ferelden back can you imagine trying to sort out a no descendants situation in the middle of a war that’s. not possible really. gareth is the one who raised loghain and honestly that alone makes me have plenty of faith in his strategic skills. and he was already military he wasnt just a farmer. i say commoner because thats what he was until maric knighted him before the sacrifice.

Is there a reason Gareth wasn't with the rebel army? I'm partway through TST and if he's loyal to Ferelden royalty why is he roving around the woods? -grayaro anon

I’m not sure how united the rebellion actually was at that point. I think he was just leading a big group of rebels. Maric only joined them after Moira was killed, and I suppose if there was One rebel army to speak of they would be with Moira. Then again some of those were the ones who betrayed her and killed her so there’s that.

But yeah I think it’s just that Gareth’s group is just that, a group. Also he was a commoner so that could explain him and the group not being around more Official™ forces, they were just a different front of the rebellion that was trying to fight back and keep themselves alive.

Hmm. That's disappointing. Do you know of any characters dealing with paranoia AND hallucinations that are fairly represented? Just in general, I don't think bioware has anyone like that, I hope I would have noticed them by now if they did. I don't think I've ever seen anyone like me that isn't demonized and made to be the Bad Guy - grayaro anon

Good morning! I was trying to figure out Loric cuddle physics. Are they about the same size? Is one of them bigger so they can just walk over, wrap the other in massive bear hug, and pick them up so they look smol? - grayaro anon

i dont like my faves to be super tall bc im short so to me maric is 5′7 and loghain is 5′9. so theres rly not a huge size difference. also maric doesnt like getting picked up. well neither does loghain really. maric is always cold. no one hogs blankets bc neither of them moves too much during the night. loghain always lets maric have the last cookie. maric definitely makes a point to touch loghain w his cold hands/nose/etc. loghain wakes up first most of the time. neither of them ever leaves before the other one is awake too :>
