Every year I wake up to my parents fighting on Valentine's Day. Every single year, this year being no different. It really sets the tone for my day, so I'm usually in a bad mood; the fact that I have to go work for 9 hours at a job I hate doesn't help, neither does the fact that my girlfriend is an hour away in class. The fact that she's mad at me isn't exactly the best detail either, it would seem I'm continuing the tradition that my parents have put down.
I don't want things to continue like that, though. So, to Grace, I would like to say this:
You are the best thing that's happened to me in a long time. We may fight....a lot, but I still think you're amazing, and you've made such a wonderful impact on me. From the laughs to the fights, the good days to the bad, the movie nights to the nights where we spend giving each other stupid life advice, I can't imagine spending this last semester any other way. I'm sorry that our first Valentine's Day, as well as a few other holidays, haven't turned out so well, but I hope you know how much I care about you. Someday I'll be able to give you a holiday that you don't end up hating, or that we're fighting on, or that we're apart for various reasons. I want you to be happy, and I plan to make it happen no matter what.
