Grayson: Technically, that was E.R.! But also me. We wanted to see how long we could put a hot dog in for before it exploded.

Gary: That was you two?

Grayson: *slowly reaching for the bag* Possibly, yes…

Gary: *slams the dryer door shut* No! No pizza rolls for you! Go and think about what you’ve done!

Dirtstorm (Digi-Destiny Boy Band AU)

The premise of a fic of this AU would be something similar to Big Time Rush, simply featuring the misadventures of a teenage rock band. Inspired by the similar naming convention used by Fireflight and Flyleaf, Grayson got the name from a Warrior Cats name generator. Other names they (I) liked include Frostspring, Thunderwing, Snowsong, and Hawkpetal, but Dirtstorm was just too funny.

Band Members:

Eric “E.R.” Ryder - “The ideas guy” and the drummer of the group. Wanted to form a cover band after seeing where a lot of his favorite online musicians started. Similar backstory and character traits to canon, often performing with a cast.

Grayson McKnight - The guitarist. Wears sunglasses on stage so the crowd can’t see the fear in his eyes. Keeps having to switch locals for Digimon because people keep recognizing him. Similar backstory to canon aside from a present father.

Ryan “Riot” Scarlett - The “lead” singer and bassist. Lives with his mom and uncle and works part-time (for legal pay) at their mechanics shop. The biggest departure from canon character-wise. Scared of robots. Doesn’t know why, they just freak him out.

Susan Pasternak - The band’s manager later in the story, who took the job at the request of her daughter, Henrietta. Her son, Gary, will sometimes “job shadow” her or act as the band’s “secretary” to get out of his scummy office job.

Potential Episode Plots:

-Grayson declares he’s leaving the band, unable to handle the attention it’s getting him at school. (featured song: New Perspective by Fireflight)

-E.R. (finally) gets so badly hurt that he can’t play. (featured song: Brother by Needtobreathe)

-The boys discover RPF. Riot is less than pleased with his portrayal in a certain Digimon fanfiction. (featured song: Sick of It by Skillet)

-The gang has tour bus troubles, with whoever’s in the top bunk falling out every time the bus turns.

-E.R. caught feels for Riot after their heart-to-heart during the tournament arc, but didn't realize how he felt until it was too late. He now sleeps with a Build-A-Bear wearing Riot's exact Metallica t-shirt held on with rubber bands

-The following is a transcript of tiktok that perfectly describes Rary to me: "If you go after the bad boy/bad girl type, just know that this person has a quality that you deem negative... You repress that within yourself, so subconsciously, you think "if I date this kind of person, I'll be able to live out that personality type without actually adopting it for myself"."

-Grayson played DDLC so blind it's not even funny. Had no idea that the whole point of the game was Monika not having a romance route. He was of course taken aback by all the horror elements, but that's like secondary or something. "Yeah, this is F*CKED, but why can't I date Monika?"

Diogo: I think it’s safe to say that whoever put the “sword that makes you king” into the stone probably didn’t want the position.
