In figuring out what I want this rich alien’s house to look like, I googled many things. Including helicopter landing pads, for where she parks her spaceship. Most are pretty boring looking! 

Except for this one!

(I know at least one person reading this is Uncomfortable With Heights, so click here if you’d like to see an interesting architectural choice.)

This is, uh, a decision that someone made. Any multiple other people signed off on.

This is also a hotel in Dubai, which doubles as that other vertigo-inducing concept: Unwise Tennis.

A landing pad this high won’t be going in the story, but I sure feel like it deserves to go in something.

Maybe an urban fantasy story, something with dragons. Or superheroes.
