she was so vulnerable in this moment. unable to stop the stream of tears that fell from blue eyes. so emotionally open, her guard completely down. the only comfort was calloused fingers on soft skin.
ironic wasn’t it ? the girl known to be walking sunshine had finally cracked. emotions consumed her and she could no longer hold them in... and now that they were out... there was no way to stop them. this wasn't her normal, she was the happy one. the one who anyone could come to and know they would be bathed in light. look at her now. a wreck. an absolute mess in a friends hands, unable to compose herself.

it was release day. the day harry was leaving ravencroft. the day that harry had been looking forward to for seven years. but now that it was finally here, the gates opening, his release papers signed . . . the fear was settling into his stomach and becoming overwhelming. but of course, cameras are flashing to catch the next headline photo, videos being recorded, and all he wanted to do was run away. he made mistakes, big mistakes, and even now after atonement he can’t have a moment of peace. not even being allowed a moment to collect himself and readjust to the sunlight of the outside world again.
as the crowds disperse, having captured their photos and videos, harry grips his tote bag of very little belongings tight. now he had to return to the penthouse, to oscorp, where he had to take back his throne in the corporate empire.
but there’s a face he picks out of the few stragglers that he remembers. one that he never wanted to see again. not after what he had done, the murders he committed, and to see just how fucked up he looked upon release. long and unkept hair, eyebags heavy and deep, spirits shattered. however, harry would be lying if he wasn’t even a little bit thankful.
because just past the crowd, finally in view, was aaron. his heart was sinking into his stomach, despite the taller seeming to have tears and a smile on his face.
was he truly happy to see him ? or was his mind playing tricks on him ?

he's known aaron for a while. not as long as he has known peter, but for a decent enough time to consider him trustworthy enough. enough to come to his home without anyone else being present. that's a pretty big step for harry, given he never trusts anyone.
when it suddenly started to downpour, harry sighed and started to consider his options. he really hated being out in the rain. but aaron made it easy. an invitation to stay with him instead.

𝙱𝙾𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴 𝙾𝙵 𝚃𝙴𝚀𝚄𝙸𝙻𝙰 is firmly held with cold hand , its sweet vanilla note already spread on tongue . it brought a strange ease to senses , to racing heart that refused to stay calm as of lately ( never really did either way ) . with a raised brow she watches , comfortably sat on the floor of her living room while back arches against a loose couch pillow . ❛ im not saying aaron got the ass for that suit , but im SAYING IT . you should definitely try it on ! ! ❜ another sip taken , pondering if this was as much of a good idea as it seemed in the first place . THEY WERE FRIENDS AFTER ALL . ❛ just in case pete ever needs a stunt double , ya know . ❜
