Plane Poem: "Kansas Isn't Laughing"
Here's another poem, written on a plane, while in captivity! Sitting still has its benefits and there's a muted ambiance to plane rides that makes them perfect for writing.
Kansas, the Wild West Laugh all you want, we're a place still sorting out our differences Sometimes I see democracy in this fight for ideals A few of them may be outdated, but we all have the right Discomfort is how free speech feels. This state, a piece of a greater nation A microcosm of what's happening elsewhere Worth discussing, debating and engaging. Like the Wild West, things aren't always fair.
