I joined my cousin @ericcohen77 and Olive the Protest Pittie here in commemorating the #GreatMarchofReturn one-year anniversary and show that we are just two of many Jews who refuse to be silent about Israel’s oppression and murder of Palestinians. Groups like @ifnotnoworg and @jewishvoiceforpeace are fighting to end Jewish support for Israel’s apartheid regime and international support for the occupation of Palestinian land. Because Judaism taught us that human rights are sacred and we refuse to believe our safety as a people is dependent on the dehumanization and slaughter of other people. It’s worth noting that today Gaza’s health ministry said Mohammed Saad, 20, died from shrapnel wounds after coming under fire from Israeli forces early in the morning. Three 17-year-olds, named locally as Adham Emara, Tamer Abu-Kheir and Bilal Najjar, were later killed by Israeli fire during the rallies.
