We made it to Athens. The last leg of our trip. Yesterday we flew in and acquainted ourselves with the neighborhood we're staying in. Today we explored some of the beaches. We went to a mountain lake that is fed by thermal springs. They claim it to be warm and have healing properties. It was not warm. I don't know whether I should believe the healing part or not. There were also little fishies that were sucking at our feet and legs there. It felt creepier in the lake then it did at the fish spa. Then we walked down to the beach of whatever body of water it is that surrounds us (my mind says the Aegean Sea but I could be wrong). That was also cold. Like, really cold. But I swam in it so suck it December. All in all it was a great day. It was beautiful out, 57 and sunny, and perfect for end of year beach exploring.
