Alas, the fungus gnats persist (and they've moved into new plants that I brought in so this is Deep Seated). Any suggestions?

Desperately trying to save my mini roses......

(I put the one in a separate pot bc I think I was gonna try smth Different on it but I forget what ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ fertilizer maybe?)

at this point I think I'm beyond "throw shit at the wall" phase of trying to save my mini-rose

So I had one last remaining little cane, which had been growing but then wilted and turned black after I moved, possibly bc of contaminated pruning scissors after I removed a black end

So I'd been treating it with neem oil, but nothing much happened except that what I can only assum was visible mold fuzz started coming up on the surface

So I decided at this point it needed repotting

but the bottom of the cane was all black/brown while the top was still a faint greenish hue, and white inside. so I'm thinking, it looks like maybe the roots and bottom are done for but the top is still kicking a little?

so

I took the rose out and dumped the old soil (the roots were black and scraggly and a little fuzzy so probably fucked). Washed out the pot and sprayed w neem oil (starting to think I should have gone w a copper fungicide tbh). Took some fresh soil that my parents had out in a bag outside complete w bits of ice and got another little pot

took my pruning scissors (which I had washed after the previous use but I still wiped the blades w rubbing alcohol) cut off the healthy (?) part, applied rooting hormone, and potted it in the second pot (the one w no fungus) bc I think it might have a better chance and anyway the roots are definitely already infected so fuck it

then took the root part, sprayed it all down w neem oil, and repotted it in the original pot w new soil (bc it's already infected so if there's spores left on the pot then like. big woop)

Also apparently you should put plants w fucked up roots in shade until they heal bc they are susceptible to scorching/dehydration bc their roots can't take in water properly. so they're in the bathroom now

Anyway if either one makes a comeback at this point I might actually die lmao

ugh this pic isn't very good :\ but anyway my rose seems to be infected with fungus (prob the same one that got the others). iirc after my move I trimmed some bits off of it and I suspect the trimmer was contaminated, so I washed it, trimmed a diseased bit off the top of the stem, and washed it again.

I also DRENCHED the plant in neem oil spray yesterday and will repeat in 7 days

here's hoping........
