I’m a little saddened because tomorrow is my last day of VBS and I really love the kids I got to be the crew leader of this year. They don’t assault me, they laugh at my jokes and occasionally weird mannerisms but most of all I’ll miss the wonderful little human beings they are. It’s crazy how 5 nine to eleven year olds are so wise beyond their years and actually SEE things instead of just glancing. It’s saddening that I’ll be leaving my “dream team" but it gives me hope that humanity isn’t lost as long as people like them hold on to the wisdom they have gained through innocence. I just wish that I have left a positive residual mark on the artwork that will become the human being that they will be. That’s all I want, even if they don’t remember me weeks from now.
