Okay, I looked some Hollow Knight arts and found Children Adventure AU (by @empy-caelumgardens). And...

I just started thinking of Flower and Lost and I got one (little crazy) idea. Could they have been raised by a Lord traitor's daughter???

Green Path bordered by the Queen's Gardens, she must still be alive (and her father ruled the praying mantis with his sisters, since their discord happened due to infection). Since her grave is in the gardens, perhaps she loved this territory or part of the gardens was also subservient to the Praying Mantises (which is why the infected mantises went there) (and there she could have met Gray Mourner somewhere).

In addition, if you look closely at Lost's attacks, you will notice that he makes a lot of attacks with dash and only randomly swings the nail in an arc. Could this be because praying mantises attack with spears and do not have the skills to fight with a nail?

I also just want to know that there is an adult next to these children who can take care of them.

That’s actually idea 76 -White circus  au - where the White kings family runs a traveling circus and its the Grimm Kin that run hollow nest .  The white circus comes back to hollow nest to drop of Hornet to her mom. Since there was a deal made between them that the princes would travel to see the distant lands and learn of the world.  But oh what is this? they come at the day of the red Festival where anyone willing can challenge the crowned Prince Grimm to a ‘dance’ fore a ‘mysterious prize’  Ill give you 3 guesses to figure out who won.

More Hallow Knight OC, so this is how my wrym oc, Vellai looks like when her clothes are off. Her wings are not visible here because she is using shape shift charm/spell to hid them (lol, I am lazy.). I might or might not colour this, btw.
