on brittney cade (mike dirnt’s wife)’s instagram highlights. i find it unbelievable how someone can be married to such an influential person in the punk scene and still be offended at slightly more inclusive language. it makes you wonder about mike’s beliefs, especially since he has historically been a bit quieter about sexuality, religion, and politics in interviews and the like. no shade to mike, he is the reason i have taken up bass. however, i personally don’t know why this is so unknown. if i remember correctly, brittney had also made anti vax tweets and transphobic comments. please correct me if i’m wrong. i also find it interesting how adrienne armstrong (billie joe armstrong’s wife) does not follow brittney on instagram. neither does tré cool. just a conversation starter.
