Have you tried Strattera? It's a non-stimulant ADHD medication. It didn't work well for me because of side effects (I was sleepy, and I was a teen and the LAST thing I needed was to be sleepiER) but it works for some.

@greencarnations ahahaha that post originally had a paragraph about Strattera which I deleted. I actually tried that one first, back in 2003, and.....alas, the side effects were so atrocious. I kept trying for like....two months? Before I was like “nope, I’m out.” Which bummed me out pretty bad because it actually helped a lot--when I was conscious enough. 

(For the first few weeks I was narcoleptic--literally if I sat down I fell asleep. I fell asleep in class, during movies, at parties, and on the bus. No amount of caffeine had any effect other than making my heart race. Once I stopped being narcoleptic, I got “late onset insomnia” instead, which is when you fall asleep at night just fine, and then wake up two hours later and can’t sleep at all after that. Oh, and I had vivid, terrifying nightmares that I can still remember in detail, fifteen years later. Last but certainly not least: I lost my libido entirely.)

I had trouble with high notes pre-HRT tbh. I was between a countertenor and a tenor, now I reach the lower range of a baritone.

I can't sing the upper notes of *any* range right now. It's not "I have trouble" so much as "literally half my range is gone". I dunno if I'll get any of it back and it's kind of scary as someone who wants to be a stage actor.

To answer your question tho, I had a clearly defined falsetto before HRT, which I had to develop for high notes.
