NTPC Launches India’s First Green Hydrogen Dispenser Mobility System
NTPC, India’s largest power utility, has taken a significant step toward sustainable transportation with the launch of the country’s first Green Hydrogen Dispenser Mobility System. This innovative solution is a mobile refueling unit designed to supply green hydrogen fuel to vehicles, marking a major advancement in India’s green hydrogen ecosystem.
The mobility system enables the dispensing of green hydrogen, which is produced using renewable energy sources such as solar or wind through electrolysis. By avoiding fossil fuels entirely, this system supports India’s Net Zero targets and aligns closely with the government’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
What sets this system apart is its portability and versatility. Unlike traditional fueling infrastructure, NTPC’s mobile hydrogen dispenser can be deployed flexibly at various locations to support pilot projects, hydrogen vehicle trials, and early adoption of hydrogen fuel cell technology in the transport sector.
