3rd of July. Marching of "NO supporters"
oXi
someone had to say it
You guys understand there’s a blatant attempt by european institutions to overthrow the leftist government in greece right now, right? This is what a coup d’ etat looks like in developed countries in 2015. And they’ re not even that left damn
OXI
omg haha
Meanwhile in Greece
I myself am an unemployed university graduate surviving on odd jobs here & there, but those in my environment that do work are reporting their employers in the private sector have been: - bragging about how they have already moved most of their funds outside Greece long ago so “to hell with Tsipras” (and blaming the middle/ low class for ruining the greek economy) - forcing unpaid leaves of 15 days saying “it’s for your own good, otherwise we’d fire half of you, you should be thankful” (the government this morning announced that those tactics are illegal and should be reported) - delaying payments claiming it’s because of the closed banks although there should be no problem moving money from an account to another (delaying salaries has been happening for years ofcourse but now they have someone to blame for it) - sending company- wide emails patronising employees by “advising them to be very strict with money because there’s no way banks will open this week or the next one” (as if those people ever knew what being strict with money means or having any qualms about manipulating people in the most unethical way) - pressuring employees to go with them to the demonstation today for voting Yes on the referandum, “see everyone there at 6.00″ (or else...) - threatening to punish those who don’t show up to the demonstation for Yes - cultivating a terror climate in general so that people will never, ever dare to think of anything besides how afraid they are of their future. It’s becoming very clear who has what to lose.
