In recent years we have seen a boom in the data analytics community. People are becoming more aware by the minute and wish to learn more about the incoming and outgoing of their surroundings. But when we talk about data analytics, what do we mean by it? Gregory DeAngelo states data analytics is said to be a set of techniques used to analyze data through the process of collecting, processing, and organizing it. It is a boon to the sectors requiring high analytical, organizational, and logical skills. Criminal justice is one of those sectors that relies on it.

Greg DeAngelo is a Computational Justice Labs Director and an Associate Professor at CGU. In order to gain a deeper understanding of community issues, he aligns himself with public agencies and groups. His work is mostly focused on determining the effects of legal and non-legal actions on the general public. Greg DeAngelo’s study combines data analytics and computational science to help the justice system develop. He recognizes that incorporating a cutting-edge research method into the justice legal system could result in significant community transformation.
