It's interesting how the Glutonny sin seems to be related to nature, kinda as the "most basic" of needs. The abno story for it's peccatulum describes it as a plant-like being that hides itself in forests, endlessly consuming while not really absorving anything, "tainting" the natural urge of hunger and twisting it into obssesion.

So far, both of Gregor's non-starting E.G.O's belong to gluttony and involve plants, one is a branch and the other is THAT fucking apple, it even comes with a unique debuff called "maggots". Not only that, but his biggest combat gimmick in-game is healing himself, consuming his enemies. If you stop to think about it, it really relates to how his personal Sin was abandoning his duty to cling to life, his biggest crime and regret was answering to the inner call for survival.

Also, Sinclair's starting E.G.O is also another Gluttony skill based around branches.
