what kind of events do you think while you were streaming hosts??
Hello, took me a while to clock the name of Vans shop lol
Ok so While You Were Streaming (or WYWS) is deffo more of a community hub than just a shop.
-WYWS has month long pride events from movie nights to poetry readings all for the queer community.
-Van knows a few drags queens that do children book readings, every first Saturday morning of the month.
-On major holidays Van hosts special family nights for people that need to find chosen family.
-(So I don’t know where the shop is but) Van always makes sure to include events for queer Muslims and Jewish people with the help of those community. They have a selection of movies that caterers to those groups to.
-Van has occasionally done Halloween shut-ins where all the shelves are cleared out of the way and a projector shows the classic horrors.

Chosen Fandom: Yellowjackets
G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?
I don't believe in OTPs in the traditional sense of "I want to see these characters with only each other and seeing them with anyone else makes me want to blow up a building", because monogamy-brain is a curse on fandom. In terms of the ship I hold above all others in Yellowjackets, it would have to be Shaunajackie. GIFs of Jackie's dead-wife-montage pre-crash (the one where they're driving home from the party and Shauna watches her walk away in slow-motion) are what sold me on the show in the first place and I never looked back from there lol.
In terms of baby's first all consuming obsession with a fictional relationship, that one goes out to Tyzula. I used to read fanfic of them before bed and concentrate really really hard on it in the hopes of genuinely manifesting Tyzula dreams, because Tyzula fanfiction was not enough, which should tell you something about the kind of fictional relationships I tend to gravitate towards. Shaunajackie is actually deeply, deeply tame for me. If Jackie hadn't died horribly in a completely preventable way, I probably would find it boring, honestly!
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
I know I was literally just ragging on this in a previous ask, but I actually really enjoy Van & Melissa friendship, just not in the perfectly cutesy, extremely sanitized way that it tends to be done in the fandom. I'm also partial to Akilah & Tai, and Van & Mari. It's really really hard to choose one favorite!
E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?

When Ozzy and I first conceptualized the AU this series takes place in, I said I was unlikely to write (or at least publish) any of it because I don't usually publish Omegaverse. Unfortunately the, um, pregnancy fetish urge to create won out, so here we are. And now there's 12k words of Mari knocked up and getting her brains fucked out on Ao3 because nothing is sacred, I guess. Sorry Mari. I promise this is the highest compliment that I am able to bestow upon you.
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Misty! If I wasn't a survivor, I would probably get too curious about what happened "out there" and end up dissolved in a barrel of lye in her basement (that she would then wind up disposing of in some rural part of New Jersey), but otherwise I think it would be worth it. She is so fiercely loyal, and I love her dearly.

hmmm officially i think debbie and lou from ocean's 8 (+ tammy. bc i decided to get started all in with an ot3) that was the first fandom i wrote fic for and really engaged with it. before that? eh it's kind of blurry. i'm going to skip over the rpf era if you guys don't mind. and i bet as a kid i shipped all the girls from disney and nicklodeon shows just. i didn't realize it at the time hgsjdfhgfj i bet i was out there shipping the cheetah girls. i should rewatch it...

M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
i'm trying to think of a character who's rich but uh not evil. wouldn't kill me. wouldn't bring killers, demons or general danger in my life. and.... i can't think of any 😭😭 like right now the first one that come mind are the girls from derry girls because they are great friends to each other but they're also teenagers so. you know. despite her issues. i think misty is genuinely a good friend. in a way... and i would be friends with lottie or just join her cult if she lets me like. just staring at her would make it worth it hgsjdfhgjfh
oh dang!! i def assumed you've seen the show through more times lolol in that case definitely watch it again as its intended, but that *third* rewatch you should 100% hit up the chronologically lost series ahah
well to be fair i Have watched the compilation of Juliet scenes at least three times so that's something! lol huh now that made me think i'd also love to watch that chronologically. hit me with her parent's divorce right off the bat so everything she ever does makes complete sense hgsjfhgjh
but yeah you're right!! i'll stick to the normal order this time. but then it's on 👀 watching it chronologically sounds so much fun. i can't even imagine it but i'm already excited!
have you ever watched chronologically lost?? if not and if youre going to download the show anyways, its kind of a fun way to watch when youve already seen the show multiple times
(just in case: chronologically lost is a project someone did recutting the entire series' scenes into chronological order, its wild and probably took 48293 years djsjsj)
omg! yeah i've heard about it!! that's honestly so cool (and insane thing to do wow that dedication is incredible and i admire it so much)
that's honestly a good idea 👀 i think though that i should probably watch it in the original order at least once more. i've actually only watched the full thing only once. so i need to uh get more familiar with it lol but that is definitely something i want to try doing sometime in the (hopefully near-ish) future!

Have EYE ever had on OTP ???? yes. hahaha yes. My first one was bubbline. it was my introduction to fanfic (reading bubbline on ff.net) and i used to watch bubbline scenepacks on my parents work computer when they werent home. i was 12.

For yellowjackets right now I'm having a really big jackienat moment ? I just think that once they got over the slut shaming and the internalized homophobia they wouldve been ride or die for each other (and i think they already were, in certain ways, like if you see how torn up nat is about jackie's death) all i know is jackie would NOT have let shauna treat nat like that in season 3
