Tenkei: So who wants to make some money?
Yukari: What happened?
Tenkei: Not important but I need someone to take the fall. Five bucks.
Sukuna, in the background: WHO DID THIS?
Yukari: ... Make it ten.
Tenkei: Deal. I got the culprit!

Today is Day 6 of K Appreciation Week! The prompts for today have been inspired by the Grey Clan and are "Keepsake", "Blind", and "Disillusion".

Hi, I don't know why but lately I've been thinking about Dewa's family, like what would it be like if his parents were part of the Gray Clan? Imagine the irony of him being a part of homra even thought his parents died on the Kagutsu thingy.
I mean, this makes sense to me, actually. I've not really kept up with K in the last 16ish months, so if GoRA has released more material about the Grey Clan, someone should point me to it.
Anyway, IIRC, the Grey Clan - Cathedral - was fairly close-knit and their leader didn't get into too many fights. Ootori Seigo only fought when he had to, and when he fought, he was monstrously strong.
So, if Dewa's family were part of Cathedral and they died in the Kagetsu Crater Incident, it might be that Dewa felt the Grey King, despite the protective power of the Fog Sanctum, didn't properly protect them. Maybe he feels resentment, and the Grey Clan is defunct post-Kagutsu anyway, so why not join HOMRA?
The Red Clan is a bit rebellious; it's in the nature of Red Aura, right? Red is chaos to oppose Blue's order; I think GoRA stated that somewhere. And Suoh Mikoto gives zero fucks about Kings and Crowns. He cares about protecting his people and he will absolutely burn through anyone and anything to do it - even when his people betray, as we learn in K7S.
So, you take a kid whose been orphaned because a supposedly monstrously powerful defensive Aura didn't protect his parents. It makes perfect sense to me that he would then ally himself with a monstrously powerful offensive aura like Red Aura.
Those are just my initial thoughts, though. Dewa is one of the many, many characters in K that I don't have a good grip on. 's bound to happen with a cast so huge and with so many backstories that intersect in so many ways. Happy to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
Speaking of Iwa-san, I think we also deserve more stories evolving around Cathedral (aka. Grey Clan). I want to know what kind of leader/king Iwa-san back then.
