Can you share the links for the father figure ace and Luffy fics?
Ah, yes! I've read a lot of ASL fics, so I tried searching through all of them to get anything similar to this trope and found very little 😅 but regardless, here.
Ace as Luffy's Dad
Kidnapping Luffy by siojo - It's mostly older brother Ace, but it can be viewed as father & son. Basically a younger Luffy meets older Ace, very sweet and cute! It is part of a series, too.
Two and a Half Pirates by Pirate_Trafalguy - Luffy is born 16 years after both Ace and Sabo, and thus Garp leaves him with the duo. Very fluffy, I highly recommend it. Same situation as above, where its not explicitly stated that Ace is Luffy's father, but it's very easy to view it as such.
greatest gift of all by SoccerSarah01 - This is a must read, if you're into One Piece and love ASL, honestly. Luffy is a baby and is handed over to 10 year old Ace. Similar to the prior recommendations, Ace isn't explicitly Luffy's father but again, raises Luffy. Honestly, a wonderful fic.

I spent a lot of time searching for the final story that inspired my post from earlier, but unfortunately I believe it was deleted. Regardless, this is a short list but it's all that I could find for the trope. I did write something similar to this idea but it's bittersweet, so I'd rather keep this list happy, lol.

Day 1 of December Prompts: the sun has yet to rise and yet I yearn for its warm touch. I stare at a blank document and wonder for the first time in a line of many times to come, if I should I end myself or invent time travel to slap my past self in the face. Both are equally appealing compared to writing out four separate one-shots (mind you, I completed promptober in the span of a month and a half)... will update with either a will or a suicide note.
in other news, i lost a lot of WIPs because my device broke, the only one that I didn't lose was the CobyLawLu AU... i think its a sign from god (delusional)
