WHAT: A fanworks bingo celebrating Jewish (and Jew-ish) characters across any and all fandoms. Write fanfiction and/or create graphics (moodboards, edits, vids, whatever you like) to fill prompts on this overall bingo card. During the 8 nights of Hanukkah, submit your fills to the AO3 collection and/or post them on Tumblr to be reblogged and added to the Bingo Masterpost.

WHY: Jewish characters and Jewish fans are often overlooked or erased during the Winter Holiday Season in favor of “Secret Santa” exchanges, Christmas-themed fics, and the idea that ~Hanukkah is Jewish Christmas~ (which spoiler for all fics in this bingo: it’s not). This panfandom Bingo challenge is to celebrate Hanukkah on its own terms and give Jewish characters and fans a place to breathe. :)

You were standing outside patient's room and smiling to yourself as you watched the beautiful scene in front of you: husband and wife reuniting after he almost died in a car crash. The woman was crying out of joy, holding her husband's hand and talking to him quietly. You were so proud of yourself... You saved the man, you gave them a chance, you gave them a new life. It was truly beautiful.

"What are you looking at?" you heard familliar, deep, masculine voice and you couldn't help but smile to yourself.

It was Mark, one of your best friends and... Well the guy you loved but were too afraid to tell him. For over twenty years now.

"Just a miracle of a surgery and faith" you smiled simply, shrugging your arms. "My patient just woke up and his wife is over the moon about that."

You finally looked at Mark and bit the inside of your cheek at the sight. He still wore his scrub cap and that somehow had huge effect on you. 

"I mean..." you continued not taking your eyes off him. "She was so worried about him, all she thought about was him. I'm so happy he's alright, I don't know what would happen to her if he wasn't."

"Yeah" Mark sighed heavily and you frowned.

"What's wrong?"

"I just..." he breathed and looked at you, his blue eyes were sad when he stared in your e/c ones. "I wish I was all someone thought about."

You felt your heart skip a beat and without even thinking about it you replied:

"You always were to me."

Mark didn't respond and you felt a wave of embarrassment washing all over you. You quickly covered your mouth with your hand and backed away.

"I'm sorry, Mark I-"

"Jesus, for twenty years I was doing everything to stop my feelings towards you and now you're telling me you feel the same?" he interrupted you, frowning a bit.

"You what now?" you felt... Weird. Was it possible that you both were just blind idiots?

He said nothing, but placed his big, warm hand on your cheek and kissed you tenderly not caring that someone could see you. You immediately gripped on his arm, kissing him back with all the gentleness you had inside you. You waited twenty years for that, but it was worth everything.

I haven't checked this one so I'm sorry for all the mistakes. Also this is my first Grey's Anatomy fic ever, I hope you guys like it.

What is the Arizona x Eliza ship name?? Because I’m tired of having to use all the different names as tags, I’m too lazy for that shit but I wanna make sure I see everything & other fans see what I post. SO here’s the options: -ARILIZA (friendly reminder this was what Jessica Capshaw herself liked best because it puts Arizona first finally) -ELIZONA -MIBBINS (interesting combo of the last names lol) - ARIZONA X ELIZA (plain and simple) - ???? Is there another more popular rogue name out there I don’t know?! Reply and/or reblog with your choice. Hopefully this post will circulate enough for us to come up with a definitive answer lol

Fixing your mental health isn't like surgery. We can't just run the blood work and check the vitals. With mental health, progress is way harder to measure. And if something's wrong, we have to take action. There's a lot of uncertainty, there's a lot of fear, and what might be easy for one person, for someone else might take inner strength you can't even image. But we have to try. We have to stand up to our demons. We have to face reality whenever possible, and ask for help when we can't. And when we do that, healing is possible.
