Season 11 Episode 21

Okay, so this is hella spoilers for those who haven’t seen the show, or for those who haven’t gotten this far yet. But for us who have, I had this idea when I watched the episode tonight. 

It’s a Beautiful Day to Save Lives

You were boiling mad, shooting him glares throughout dinner. He tried to eat with his eyes down, knowing he was in trouble, but every time you’d huff he’d sigh and every time you’d scoff he’d whine.

“Baby! I’m sorry!” 

“Don’t.” You raise your hand to stop him. 

“I couldn’t sleep on the bus! What was I supposed to do?”

“Watch something else? Play a video game, fucking call me and ask if I’d stay up just a bit later to watch the next episode too?” 

“But you’d already gone to bed!” 

You shake your head, standing with your plate and walking past him to the kitchen.

“Babe, I’m sorry.” He followed you.

“Sorry’s not gonna cut it Shawn. You promised we’d watch the rest of the season together!” 

“I haven’t finished the season!”

“But you’ve seen the most important episode!” You glare at him, hands on your hips.

It’s silly really, the fact that you two are fighting over a TV show. But with the lengths your relationship goes through physically, him being miles and miles away, watching a TV show together sometimes can be the only thing at the moment you can do together.

That is unless someone, Shawn, watches 3 episodes past what the agreement was and is now 3 episodes ahead. 

“I’ll rewatch them with you.”

“Damn straight you will.” 

“I’ll get your blanket if you set it up?” 

You sigh, nodding at him and heading off to the living room to light a few candles and turn the TV on, main light off. 

You sit on the couch, clicking play and curling in on yourself as you let the recap suck you back in to where you left off.

“You started without me?” He asks as he walks in, now wearing his sweats, holding your blanket.

“It’s not like you missed anything you haven’t already seen.” 

His lips seal together and he drapes your blanket over you in silence, cautiously sitting next to you. He lets his arm fall on the back of the couch around you, and he moves a little closer, already knowing whats gonna happen and how much support you’ll need.

You huff, grabbing your blanket and standing, planting yourself on the other side of the couch.

“Really?”

“You don’t deserve to get to sit next to me while we watch. I wasn’t able to sit next to you, so you can’t sit next to me.” 

He groans, crossing his arms and turning back to the TV.

Throughout the episode he catches himself watching you and not the show, he’s itching to hold you, to soothe you, to be there for you.

“Do you see his fucking head, he needs a CT.” You yell at the TV as they carry him out on the stretcher. “Take him to Grey Sloan, these assholes are too good to save his life.” 

Shawn tries to hide his snicker, and instantly regrets all his decisions even more than he already did. He wishes he could go back and exit the app on his phone. Turn Netflix off and watch youtube videos instead. He wishes he was going through this with you right now.

“HE’S FUCKING TELLING YOU TO GET A GOD DAMN CT SCAN!” 

He’s trying so hard not to just jump across the couch to hold you.

“A DINNER? That’s so much more important than a mans life eh? Don’t fucking walk in here thinking you’re hot shit and it’s all her fault. If y’all bitches weren’t so insecure about women knowing what the fuck we’re talking about then Derek, McDreamy, Shepard wouldn’t be brain dead on your table, so kick yourself out and not her!” 

The second the screen flashes back to Meredith opening the door, and your first tear drops he’s wrapping you in his arms so fast you don’t know where he even came from.

“He knew he was gonna die, and he couldn’t even say to them to tell Meredith goodbye, that’s not fair!” You cry into Shawn’s chest, fisting his shirt in your hand. 

“She knew Honey.” 

“She’s been through too much, and these dumbass doctors don’t know jack fucking shit. She better name her baby Derek.”

Shawn’s eyes go wide. “How’d you know she was pregnant?” 

“When they showed him saying ‘Let’s have more’ I was like great, she’s gonna get pregnant and he’s gonna die, that’s fucking great.” 

“Oh Honey.” 

“This is too much for my fragile heart, I’m an emotional mess and this show just keeps killing people.” 

Shawn laughs, kissing the top of your head. “Do you wanna find a new show to watch?” 

“NO!!”

I’LL NEVER BE OVER THIS SCENE!!!! THEY WAY LEVI JUST BLURTS OUT THAT HE LOVES NICO AND HIS RAMBLING AND THE WHOLE YOURE MY FIRST LOVE!!!! AND THEN NICO’S WHOLE “SO YOU LOVE ME HUH?” BEFORE KISSING LEVI IS THE CUTEST THINGIVE EVER SEEN!!!! THIS IS WHAT WE DESERVE AS A FANDOM AND IM JUST SO GODDAMN HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Schmico Spoiler #7

He said that his mom is a lot and that he wants to lock Nico in through his eyes because he’s his first love before his mom tells him about all the ways it can go wrong. Nico kisses him and when Levi asks him if he’s going to say it back and he tells him he will in 2 minutes. That he just wants to see Levi sweat it out. Then as they are walking away Levi hugs him from behind and they are laughing.

As someone who wears glasses and can’t touch their eyeballs I’m low key pissed that Levi was putting on contacts at the end of the episode. Like why can’t he be a successful doctor and wear glasses. They better not get rid of the glasses permanently.

This episode was weird. Like it was fine but I felt like they were trying too hard? Like it's an episode about Teddy's mental health but Instead of actually dealing with her health they sent her on this fantastical, dreamscape trip - which is fine I guess but It kind of felt like a cop out when they could of dealt with her PTSD in the real world. They already took the easy way out with Deluca and his bipolar and I felt that this episode was trying too hard to be surreal with the issue.

ohhh boy.. okay, i’m mentally prepared now to watch it. thanks for the heads up!
