Hair Study!!

Worked on these sketches today to try and get a better feel on their hair (Icarus’s is HELLA fun but I love thinking up stuff for the girls too) and this comes with a tiny head canon I made while drawing these: Both Eve and Icarus know how to braid, but Griff doesn’t and feels left out because of it. They tried to teach her how but this girl is a lost cause.

Also, here is a better quality photo (thanks to a filter), I just didn’t want people to think I did it in pen or anything (I suck at using a pen for art).

World Builder 3000

Basic Setting: A bit in the future. No flying cars or anything crazy, the technology is just a bit more advanced. Crime rates are up and increasing, the world seems to fall apart every now and then but somehow settles back into a numb white noise of it all. It’s a dystopia in the making.

Project Research and Advancent of Humankind (R.A.H.) was started twenty years ago. It was and still is an underground organization studying and testing on human life. The founder’s main goal was to make a force of perfect beings, something he imagined in the form of angels. It was his deepest desire to play God and reform the world into what he believed to be Heaven. Most test subjects would die during the first few surgeries and modifications. Others would die later do to their bodies rejecting themselves and shutting down. Those that did survive suffered ailments and deformity. Most when not “perfect” would be discarded or experimented on further. Some were spared by the lack of severity in the problem. Tales of one with the permanent case of the hiccups, another’s whose wings decayed to be nothing but bone, one that had become mute, another deaf. Once RAH began to see successes in their experiments they began the first steps of Project Enlightenment. They had an army of trained mercenaries at their beck and call, but the world still seemed to not care. There were bigger problems to worry about, the small town crime that terrorized the daily life of an average citizen. Project Enlightenment carried out without a hitch, and the world turned a blind eye.

The biggest issue Project Enlightenment faced were the Hybrids themselves. Some opposed the RAH, clinging to the last of the humanity they had. Some escaped, fleeing to remote places before they could be captured. Those that were captured again would disappear for months, sometimes even years, before the RAH saw they were “fit” and “safe” enough to be put back on duty. Some of the escaped Hybrids went back to attack the RAH, eventually forming a band of rage filled fighters the founder called “Demons”.

The RAH began to work on a cure for the rioters, meanwhile the Enlightened Hybrids were sent out to scatter and deplete the numbers of the Demon Troops.

Society started to pay a bit more attention, but were unsure of what side to take. Most thought the RAH really meant well, so the political part of The Enlightenment kicked in.

Among this mess of Hybrids a few real angels began to crop up, all of them trying to stop the upcoming war before it started while trying to restore the life that was being destroyed.

Numbers :

The RAH has, roughly, ten thousand Hybrids.

The Demon Troops have around 1,200 members.

There is rumored to be another one thousand to two thousand escaped Hybrids in hiding.

There have been at least a hundred different angel sightings.

There have been a few rumors of actual demon sightings.

Angels:

Your basic Angel looking being. Human appearance with wings and sometimes halos. They all seem to have a heavenly glow to them and gravitate around places with a high amount of people.

Hybrids:

Human physical form. They have added wings and tails, sometimes even advanced even further to have sharper teeth and nails. Types of wings vary, and types of tails also vary (but are usually those of felines. It’s rumored that there’s a Hybrid with a hand on the end of their tail, and another with multiple tails).
