4/12/96: CF Ken Griffey Jr. blasts his second homer of the game, a tape-measure three-run shot that goes over the Hard Rock Cafe at the SkyDome.
The "MOONSHOT" off RP Giovanni Carrara marked Griffey's 5th HR of a "ripe" '96 season, his 2nd of the game taking SP Paul Quantrill deep earlier in the 3rd inning. Griffey went 3 for 4 on the evening totaling 4RBIs and 1BB.
Despite scoring 4 runs over the final 3 innings, the Blue Jays were unable to overcome the hot bat of the "Home Run King" and faced a (9-6) L in the box-score.
The Mariners would manhandle the Jays over the weekend series sweeping them (3-0) and out scoring them (32-13) in the process.

This is a good little article. I was the same way, I never lost my passion for his game. Oh and he I share the same birthday, which is partially why.
I remember when I was in Osan...he had just move to seattle, and I bought my cousin a Griffey Jr Reds jersey.
