part 1
Yn pov
Wondering around the halls looking for a teacher or a perfect 'I'm gonna be late' I was in thought and bumped into someone "I'm sorry I was looking for the great hall and got lost" I explained quickly before looking at the person "its fine nothing serious, im cedric, cedric diggory" he smiled "I'm yn ln" I smiled "ill show you to the hall" he said sticking his arm out for me to take "that would be great" I held onto his arm as he lead me to the great hall "so first year" he asked "second year I just transferred here" I murmured "that's cool well I hope you like it here" he said lightly squeezing my arm “and here we are” he smiled as we walked into the hall “there she is yn ln i hope you give her a warm welcome” the headmaster dumbledore spook “see you later” cedric smiled and left “come forward and we’ll get you sorted into your house” i slowly started walking towards him i only recognized a few students from the train “come sit on the stool and we’ll place the sorting hat onto your head” he beckoned me to the stool “your gonna be great” hermione smiled as i past her while the twins and lee gave me a thumbs up, i walked up the few steps and sat on the wooden stool all the students staring i sighed with a heavy breathe ‘here we go’.
the hat was placed onto my head and waited “ah yes kind and loyal, you can’t even hurt a fly i know where to put you” the hat laughed slightly moving my head “better be hufflepuff” it shouted causing the hufflepuff table to erupt in cheers, the hat was lifted off “well done ms ln” professor mcgonagall smiled and gestured me to my house table, i walked over to the table and decided to sit next to two girls who waved me over “hi” i smiled “hello” “hiya” they smiled and allowed me to squeeze in between them “im yn” i said “im clara and this is vanellope” the brown haired girl murmured gesturing to the red hair girl “yn” i search for the person who called me, my eyes landing on cedric “hi cedric” i waved “im glad you are in hufflepuff” he smiled before going back to his friends “i cant believe your friends with cedric diggory” they squealed “he helped me find the hall” i shrugged looked to hermione and them but they sadly smiled and went back to their conversations ‘i’ll talk to them later’.

i walked with clara and vanellope as they lead me to the hufflepuff dormitory “remember left,right,right,right,down,up” clara explained the password i had to tap a certain barrel to get in “ok now try” vanellope said stepping aside ‘ok left,right,right,dow-” i was pulled into someones chest as i pressed the wrong barrel and where i was,was splashed with vinegar “thank you” i said “dont worry about it takes a while getting used to it” i smiled as i heard cedric he let me go and i turned to him “ill make sure i learn it” i gigged and blushed as i heard van and clar whisper how nice and hot he is “i guess i’ll save you every time them” he smiled and tapped the right rhythm and the door opened “i bid you ladys a goodnight” he smiled and walked inside “i swear you guys are soulmates” van squealed as clara pulled me inside “hey you have to invited me to your wedding” clara teased making me turn a bright red “shut up” i rolled my eyes “fine we’ll stop” van laughed as we sat on the couch “so what school did you go to before this” clara asked “well i was home-schooled” i murmured “why” they both questioned “what my mom told me is that my grandpa wanted to rise me but they didn’t let him and they were scared he was gonna kidnap me from school” i told them my story and they sat silent “dam thats dark” clara burst into laughter which caused us to laugh “yea it is” i smiled “oh lets go to sleep so we don’t miss potions tomorrow” van murmured standing up “yea professor snape will have our heads” clara said and dragged me up “come on you can sleep in the bed next to us” van smiled and led us to the dorm room for second year girls “that ones free” they pointed to an untouched bed next to a window “ok thanks” i smiled and climbed into the bed “goodnight” we murmured softly to each other and i closed my eyes and waited for sleep to take me but it never did.
i dont know how long i layed there no sounds no movements i couldn’t sleep ‘i feel home sick’ i sat up and looked at vanellope and clara but they were both asleep vanellope letting out silent snores and clara slightly moving around ‘must be having a good dream’ i smiled and silently stood up and decided to go and sit in the common room by the fire so if i made a noise i wouldn’t wake anyone, i crept down the stairs and slowly sat by the fire, i stared into the flames and got lost in thought ‘what if me coming here is a mistake’ i pulled my knees up and layed my head onto them “cant sleep” i jumped and turned to the person it was cedric “yea a bit home sick” i explain and watched as he sat beside me “i had that problem with my first year” he smiled staring into the flames i followed suit “how did you get over it” i asked “i didn’t it took a few months to get over it and i realized this is my home as well i have my family at home and my friends here” he said i gazed over to him and found him already staring at me i nervously laughed looking down “if you want we can sleep here, i may not be your friend but i do give a good cuddle” i laughed at cedric’s statement “yes please” i murmured and let him pull me in we moved so we both were laying across the couch with my head on cedric’s chest and my legs between his “thank you” i whispered i felt safe and comfortable with him maybe he was right this is my other home away from home, i smiled and closed my eyes “goodnight” he whispered softly and silently started to hum “goodnight” i whispered back before sleep took over me.
BONUS
“i told you they were soulmates” i heard whispering “just look how cute they are” i slightly opened my eyes to reveal half the house standing around us with vanellope and clara whispering ‘aw man’.
