Bad Memories Unearthed
Sobbing, broken sobbing... A small flame was wailing at what was once his mother, who'd been mauled by some of the more... Rougher folk in Underfell. He was only a boy... He should not have seen so much and its not like his father was around anyway since the bar. It was cold, bitterly so, and as the dark purple fire elemental shivered and cried, he felt a darker burn within his heart... With each step he took away to get to shelter, he dived deeper into th at darker path, sobbing subsiding after a while. A smirk creeped onto his face, of course, his father had shown him how to do it and he had been an intimidating flame when he was alive. And so, the form of the young boy melted and became tall and monstrous, like his father had. If seeing the image of his father alive again didn't terrify people, it would be the madness he sent people into until he was satisfied the pain had eased. And yet, it never did... That was until quite a fateful card game many years down the line... He'd met Redby, and named himself Grilldark. Dark sapped memories of Red's friends and foes, including that of a blue flame in particular-- Grillblue. He'd taken his shape that night only for the two to have a confrontation and sapping Blues memories as well, playing on Grey's fears of the war in the process... But by the end of the night, when his ragged body was near on destroyed and he'd left the bar... He was sobbing broken again like he had when he saw his mother die... And when he found out about his father dying in the war... The things he knew about Grey broke him more and Blue hadn't had the best of times either. Dark was a sadist and yet he felt THEIR pain, as his OWN. He knew what it felt like... A reject, a freak... And for what he was, Dark never had a friend. As he stared at his hands, which occasionally flickered to the blue elemental's and even to the war grieved veteran, he couldn't help but feel hateful towards himself again for what he'd allowed himself to become. And maybe, just maybe... He could make it up at tonight's game night and share his own bad memories and fears, in the hopes... That he could be one day accepted for the scared boy that he really is, not the monster he had become to lash out...
