I'll gratefully use this opportunity to explain Persephone's backstory!!
Daffodil: rebirth and new beginnings
Persephone grew up in a "perfect" family, it was the epitome of a stereotypical "successful" family, and she was the epitome of a "perfect child." With her parents working in magical professions. She was aspected to do as well as them.
From the very beginning her parents had already planned out her fate, such as what type of job she would do in the future, hobbies she would have, clothes she would wear, the way she speaks and how she presents herself to others.
Rather than a person, she was treated like a doll made to represent her family's desires of how a child "should" be. Hence why Persephone never really thought of herself or what "she" would want. It has always been "Ah, Mother would want me to do this." and "Father would be happy if I chose this." She has been trained to make her decisions based on how her parents would decide for her. Thus never having her own opinions as she was never able to develop them, what was "right" and what was "wrong" depended on her parents.
Persephone had only seen what freedom was, but she had never experienced it herself since she was always afraid to take that first step. To her, it didn't matter anyway since she had never felt strongly about anything before. Furthermore, to her, it wasn't like she "needed" to decide on anything as "her" choices or fate has already been scripted from the start. (The stress from the limitations placed on her will start to build up though...)
The first decision she made was during the sorting ceremony. After seeing Rosalia's witches dance, she felt inspired to follow her own "heart's desires". Thus she had chosen to go to Rosenhex, instead of Grimmare. Which was the dorm her parents, had wanted her to chose.
....Her parents were furious, to say the least, with how she had strayed from the path they had wanted her to walk on. Thus they started to devise another plan, one they would make sure she would follow. ( Which will tie into a blot au hehe!)
After making "her" first choice she was somewhat in a state of delirium, wanting to experience things in order to find out her own likes and dislikes. Persephone had heard some girls talking about virtual singers or singers who had hidden their faces for privacy. In her high, she had gone to cover a song. Which had received a large amount of support due to her angelic voice. ( I headcanon that Persephone will be one of the singers Idia likes to watch and support! ) From here, Persephone has been trying to carve out her own fate, trying to keep people from finding out about her secret career and figuring out who "She" is.
