Retsu hadn’t expected to find the hot spring occupied; usually when she had the time to visit was when other people were busy elsewhere. Of course by the time she realized that there was someone there, she’d already been noticed herself. With an apologetic dip of her head, Unohana smiled politely, ready to excuse herself. But that was stopped short by the invitation.
“If I won’t be intruding, then I suppose there’s no harm in joining you.”
As Retsu prepared to enter the water, she was struck by nostalgia for the time long ago, before she’d taken the life of a healer. There had been a time when she had regularly soaked with the men and women she led. Nowadays, she usually went alone.
Slipping into the water finally, she released a soft sigh and relaxed into the heat, closing her eyes. It was a little bit inconvenient to have to keep her hair in its braid, but she pushed the little irritation from her mind.
“So, how have you been Grimmjow-san?”
