found in the description for a listing of grimskull on mercari (japanese ebay type site) and so i went looking for more info-

-and could only find these....

the boxes are basically the exact same as the originals, except the text at the bottom has been translated to japanese. the back is also still in english. im assuming that all the figures were sold in japan at some point, but i cant find any proof of their existence anywhere (...yet?)

i tried translating the titles above the names, and the japanese is a little weird. like, technically theyre readable, but its not really the most appropriate words to use (im not fully fluent in japanese yet, so i adapted them the best i could)

スケルトンに立ち向かう孤独な戦士: Lonely Warrior Who Resists(or Opposes) Skeleton

恐るべき頭脳戦士: Terrifying Intellectual Warrior

above 頭脳戦士 it says マッドサイエンテイスト which translates to Mad Scientist

and at the bottom スケルトンウォリアーズ is just Skeleton Warriors

i cant find any proof of the tv show being broadcast in japan, so maybe takara just brought over the figures? tbh it'd be cool to watch a japanese dubbed version of the show someday (:
