Time for a Friday chapter teaser!
After 12 chapters, we’re finally back in Dorothy the Grimtern’s POV, and she has her first date with Miguel. She’s freaking out. 😱 Partly because he’s really, really cute. Mostly because she has to report back to the Grim Reaper as part of his plan to destroy Miguel.
Why does Grim want Miguel destroyed? Because breaking Miguel would break Diego, Grim’s least favourite human still alive. Grim still hasn’t forgiven him for being immortal, something Diego hasn’t quite figured out yet.
Dorothy doesn’t understand why Grim hired her. She’s not cut out for this job. But she knows one thing: she’s falling for Miguel, and she has no idea what to do.
