I love gringraves design and a bunch of her character concepts but she ended up being horribly written in a story that throws out decades of characterisation and backstory so I’ve decided I’m just making an entirely new version of her

She’s a deeply traumatised child slave just like Shatterstar, we could have had a hunger games-esque fake romance between two teenagers for the sake of survival, we could have seen how the pain and loneliness of life growing up on mojoworld affected her compared to Star, she could have been a reflection of what Star would have ended up like if he hadn’t escaped when he did, there was so much potential

This REALLY bothers me. 1. The hypocrisy. If a man had kicked the living sh!t out of his female opponent and then forced her into a kiss this way, the #metoo movement would be having an aneurysm.  2. The veiled pedophilia. At his oldest, Shatterstar would have been maybe 16 here. Some of you can call him one lucky bastard. Others could view him a victim of Gringrave: Yield to her advances or die. Other way, it’s f!cked up. 3. Is this a retcon? There’s no mention of Star’s wife, Windsong. We don’t know if Star is caving to the needs of his “superior” due to his perceived asexual status. We don’t know if he even really wants this to happen. It’s just . . . wrong.

so i’m reading shatterstar because why not..

i really like Gringrave design apparently she is new character but i like her so much ,just all the art style in this series speak to me.

just look the grandmaster.. i love him so much

ALSO he is a CANONICAL QUEER and that is always a plus fo me, because i love my queer superheros 

i read the wiki and i know everything about him until this point and i’m intrigued to see where this is going
