"I am Groot." He is pointing at the glass in Yondu's hand. He has never seen something so colorful, and it's the first time he sees a paper umbrella as a decoration. The tiny twig is curious. "I am Groot?" He asks. Yes. He wants to taste whatever Yondu is drinking.

IS GIVING GROOT ALCOHOL A GOOD IDEA ? Probably not. He’s gonna do it, though. “You want some, twig ?” Carefully he tips the glass, a few drops of the drink landing in Groot’s open palms. “Go slow. I don’t wanna deal with y’ gettin’ drunk.”

Does Yondu think Groot is adorable? This is an important question that demands answers.

Yep, as the smelling had confirmed what he had seen! He smelt like a stick too. But this stick Talked!!! Did all sticks talk? had he been too engrossed in his findings of the stick to hear them talk? Oh dear. Ears would have drooped suddenly in this realization.  What a bad boy he would have been if he destroyed sticks like that! He’d pause for a moment before simply allowing himself to be more careful next time he chose one off the ground!

Canine simply returned words with “Hello Groot, I am Dug” Oh boy the limited vocabulary in both ends might pose an interesting situation here. He’d inch the slightest bit forward to meet the smalls outreached hand halfway. It was really more of a scoot than anything, he was lying flat on his belly at this point - just saying hi! Tail wagged behind him “I have never seen a thing like you before, it is like a stick but you talk like dug!”
