Fluke (1995) - Buy It's pretty crazy how old the singer looks now.  Seriously.  He looks like some bad ass in his 20s with those dreadlocks, slayin' bitches on the regular.  Now he's 40-something, bald, and has a gut.  I'm telling you man... if you're a teenager right now, and you're like "I can't wait 'till I'm 19 so I can go drunk--fuck this, Ima get a fake ID".  You stupid son of a bitch!  ENJOY, EVERY, GOD DAMN OUNCE OF YOUR YOUTH THAT YOU CAN!  Enjoy being a teenager!  Enjoy being a 20-something!  Enjoy being able to not bathe, or skip school, or get high, or whatever the fuck.  Just don't ever wish you were older than you are!  You will ALWAYS regret it.

Fluke (1995) - Buy

They've reunited for NXNE here in Toronto, and I managed to catch them earlier tonight.  It was especially special for me not only because I liked the band a great deal, but also because I saw them in 1998, which, if I remember correctly, was being touted as one of their last shows.  YES, singer, Ken MacNeil, looked exactly like a singer of a grunge band from the 1990s that had a tiny hand-full of hits, could have become something much more, but decided to pursue other interests and inevitably went nowhere, would:  His long dreads were replaced with a buzz cut, his hemp over-coat and baggy plaid shirt with an XL plain white T with a hole in it, and, his somewhat boyish face was now leathery and vastly populated with thick, grey, stubble; he looked like a middle-aged father.  It was about as much as a mind-fuck watching him belt out those familiar lyrics tonight (albeit still rather well), as much as it is writing about it this second.  Dear god, somebody knock me unconscious, roll me up in a carpet, and throw me off a bridge the day I turn 35.
