Sawdust (2007) - Buy

I really wanna see The Killers this Saturday. Not sure if I have the money. Well, I have the money, it just not may be wise I spend it on a ticket. I suppose that's the definition of "afford". Hopefully in the new year once I expand, I'll be able to get free concert tix. That'd be sweet. For now, here's my favorite, and a very underrated/obscure Killers song.

The first version, kind of takes you on the tale of Bono being at the focal point of a mob hit, with a repeated action sequence of being thrown from a van.

I was lucky enough to see TJF for a second time at Bonnaroo. The crowd wasn't as nuts as their own tour-show, but the band themselves made up for it and more with a ridiculously energetic stage performance. This is a band I could see over, and over, and over again. Same goes for their music videos.

I get too nostalgic on this blog, it's true. But maaan, how can I not? I wonder; I just wonder if people that grew up in the 60s, 70s, and 80s get the same feeling I get when I watch a video like "Perfect". Everything about the video is just that: Perfect. I haven't seen the video probably since it came out, and I just sat through that entire thing, taken in at not only how old it is and all that, what with the cassette tape and video quality and all, but just that, back in 1998, kids in their 20s like me partied and had problems just like I do today. It's so weird to think there were 20-year-old fresh-faced kids back then getting shit faced, and having girlfriends get pregnant. It's what my life is right now, and it's a wild ride. I guess what scares me is, those kids grew up and don't live like that anymore. And I can't imagine being a "responsible" adult. Not yet. Not for a long, long, looong time.
