This season, the folks at the E & E Ford House are straying away from the traditional holiday decor. The Holiday Belles House Tours, which started November 23 and run through January 6, are tours based on the holiday parties that Mrs. Ford hosted for her 4 granddaughters' debutante seasons. 22 Webber Place was built in 1927 for Oscar Webber, nephew of J. L. Hudson, founder of the iconic Detroit department store. Mr. Webber served as general manager and vice-president. The English Tudor home was designed by prolific Cincinnati-born, Detroit-based architect, Leonard B. Willeke. The home costed a hefty (in 1927) $476,079 to build and includes all the opulence one would expect from a home of such a prominent figure. Willeke brought an old world charm here as he did with all his designs.
