I have a very important question about a [tumblr] mechanic I'm hoping someone can answer!

If multiple people own a blog, and one person deactivates or gets banned, does the shared blog go too? I need to know to see if I can add a little extra protection to my archive blogs. Even though I don't do things that break TOS, one can never be too careful. I want my archives, scrap book blogs, and Deltarune blog to still be around even if I'm gone since they'd still have use to other people.

For those of you who don't know, you can have multiple people/accounts share a blog in something called a "group blog". It's something most people don't know they can do, and it's not touched on too much. You can't even request to share a blog with someone on mobile last time I checked. The FAQ has nothing on this specific scenario.

If you don't know, please spread this around so I can find someone who does!

For tumblr group blogs can you put a tool on the dashboard that can allow , at least group blog owners, to see posts by a specific member only?

COM-002 Community How To Create Spaces For Your Friends On Tumblr

So you’re looking for a space where you can hangout with friends? Maybe you want to run a blog with mutuals. Group blogs are your answer. Group blogs have multiple members who can reblog and post content to a side blog. Only secondary blogs can be group blogs. So you need to create your own one first.

If you just want people to be able to reblog and post you can make them members. If you want to allow them to edit the blog settings, you have to make them an admin.

Desktop Only

To invite members to your side blog:

Select the side blog from your dashboard

Click “Members” in the sidebar

Invite your friends with their username or email.

Once they accept the invite, they will show up in the members list. Now they can post and reblog to the group blog.

They won’t be able to edit the blog settings until you click “Promote to admin”.

i have many blogs on this site with like 30k 50k and even 100k followers, but since im just chilling lately they have being standing around..... if anyone is somehow interested let me know. also, if someone is very creative and loves blogging or curating aesthetics, also let me know. i have some group blogs where im all alone....

I really wish Tumblr had 3 levels of members for group blogs.

Like you've got members, which can pretty much just make, edit, and remove their own posts.

Then the admin level should be able to do that, edit other posts (but not be able to delete them), and view and respond to the inbox.

Then there should be a new level, and that's the blog owner. By default it would be the one who made the blog, but they could hand it off, or it would switch to someone else if they left. These would be the only ones that can add, promote, demote, and remove users from the blog, as well as delete posts made by other users.

Because honestly, I just really want to add another admin to my archblr, and I want them to have access to the inbox, but I've put so much into that blog that I want enough control that if something went sideways I can still kick them off. Like, this is the only thing keeping me from taking on another mod...
